1-DAY AWARENESS WORKSHOP

Industrial Safety is fundamental to the success of a business or industry. Safety of employees is legally binding on companies engaged in industrial operations, services and production. The failure to comply with the safety regulations not only undermines the businesses reputation, it also has serious effects in terms of liability claims.   

Safety is not merely accident prevention; it requires management involvement and employees participation in creating safe work environment. Safety like other management systems requires a proactive and systematic approach acceptable to governments, professional bodies and all stakeholders. This approach is presented in OHSAS 18001:2007, a standard widely accepted as a  framework for a sound Safety Management System.  

Objective: The aim of this one-day awareness training workshop is to create understanding of concepts related to industrial safety and a management system which promotes preventive culture of safety.

Who should attend: This course is designed for managerial level; staff and line managers, project managers and safety officers.  

Course Facilitators: Course facilitators are competent and qualified quality and safety practitioners with practical industrial and managerial experience. They will act as facilitators in the learning process. 

Course Material: Course material given to each participant will include study material and copies of the relevant standard.  

Course Certificate: Each participant will be entitled for a training certificate.   

Course Schedule and venue: The training runs from 09:00 hrs. to 17:00 hrs with one lunch/prayers break and two coffee breaks. The venue and the detailed programme will be intimated well in advance of the scheduled dates.
